Money Train 2 Slot

money train 2

Money Train 2 slot is a September 2020 release from Relax Gaming and a follow up to the highly successful original. Released in summer of 2019 it has quickly become a player favourite and so we have high hopes for the follow up. I love the original and had one of my biggest wins at nearly 4,000x from it. Lets take a deeper look into the stats and how Money Train 2 plays in the review below.

Summary

Money Train 2 succeeds in matching the appeal of the first game and surpasses it in many ways. The max win potential of 50,000x makes for a highly attractive prospect and an RTP of 96.4%, which shoots up to 98% on the bonus buy, seems very reasonable. The graphics are improved and the game feels somewhat excitingly edgy as you wait for the bonus to land, helped along by the excellent soundtrack. The respins base game modifier is also a nice touch. The bonus feature itself has a range of modifiers to boost the wins and if you get lucky enough to land some of the higher valued symbols you’ll see the wins rocket up in value. Overall, Money Train 2 is definitely worth a try.

How it Pays and Plays

Money Train 2 slot is set on 5 reels with 4 rows. It has a fixed 40 paylines.

The variance is rated at a full 5/5 and the max win potential is 50,000x, so it’s clearly a highly volatile slot capable of dishing out some mega wins.

The RTP is set at 96.4% which is really quite good for todays standards and if you’re located outside the UK you’ll have access to the bonus buy feature which has a sky high RTP of 98%

Hit frequency works out at 19.55%, or 1 in 5 spins, whilst betting ranges from 10p/cents up to a maximum of $/£/€20.

The wins are rated in 4 categories. This starts at a “Big Win” which counts as a 15+ bet multiplier, which has a 1 in 90 chance, then a “Mega Win” which is 30x + and a 1/185 chance of landing it, an “Epic Win” 60x + at a rate of 1/418 and finally, an “Explosive Win” 1000x + which is 1/103,478.

Symbols and Graphics

Low paying symbols are the 4 playing cards suits. Premium symbols include 3 cowboys and a cowgirl. The Wild symbols is a Skull which says Wild on it. Scatter symbols says “Bonus” on them and you’ll need to land 3 to trigger the free spins round.

Money Train 2 is set on a background of a Wild West town, during the base game it’s daytime and if you land the bonus respins feature it changes to nighttime. The action takes place on the money train, sitting stationary on the tracks.

The music rolls along nicely giving you a feeling that action is waiting to happen, helping to increase the tension as you wait for the bonus round to trigger. Once it does the music and beat kicks up a notch, helping to subtly add to the excitement and overall enjoyment of the game.

Overall, the graphics have been given a decent makeover and it works very well, maybe looking a bit more edgy than the original.

Respins Bonus Feature

This is the base game modifier which helps to keep things interesting. When you get a tease, 2 bonuses landing and missing out on the third, you’ll then get a multiplier added to the next win you land, the reels will respin until you land a win. The multiplier will be the number of spins you have gone before the bonus tease without landing any wins, so a long patch of dead spins could see you with a decent multiplier.

Money Cart Bonus Feature

Trigger this with 3 or more bonus symbols on any given spin. This is what Money Train 2 slot is all about. The screen will turn to nighttime and the money train will roll on. The positions of the 3 bonus symbols which triggered the feature will remain locked in place and have a multiplier attached to each of them. This will be your start point. After which you get 3 respins and with every respin that lands an extra symbol in the respins reset to 3.

money train 2 bonus feature

There are 2 types of main multiplier symbols you will see land in. These are the silver and gold Bonus Symbols, which give between a 1x and 10x multiplier value. The all gold ones will give anything from 20x to 200x. There are also a range of other symbols which can land and help stack up the multiplier. They are as follows:

Payer: Reveals a multiplier number and then applies that to all other symbols on the train.

Collector: Reveals a multiplier number and then collects every other multiplier value and multiplies it by it’s own value.

Collector/Payer: Combines the two above features for some big multiplier potential.

Sniper: This will double the value of between 3 and 8 other symbols visible, it can also act on the same symbol multiple times, hopefully a big one!

Reset Plus: This resets the respins and adds an extra one, so you’ll always start with the extra respin added during that bonus round. It will also have a multiplier value attached.

Necromancer: Reveals an multiplier and brings back to life 2 to 7 other symbols which can be the Payer, The Collector, Payer/Collector or the Sniper.

Persistent Payer: This reveals a multiplier and every spin from then on it will add that value to all other symbols.

Persistent Collector: Adds up all other multiplier values and adds them to it’s own on every new spin.

Persistent Sniper: Doubles 3 to 8 other symbols values every spin.

You can also expand blow the doors of the Money Train open further to reveal extra spaces for symbols to land. This will happen when you fill any reel up with symbols.

If you go 3 respins without landing a new symbol or if you hit the 50,000x multiplier mark the bonus ends.
